EduGPT is designed as a safe and pedagogically responsible AI learning environment for educational institutions. To ensure quality, safety and continuity, we operate a fair use policy.

This policy ensures that:

• all users retain access to stable and fast AI functionality
• costs remain manageable for institutions
• usage aligns with educational goals and pedagogical deployment

2. Basic principle

EduGPT is delivered as a managed AI learning environment, not an unlimited generic chat service.

That means:

• use is broad and flexible
• but not unlimited or undirected

We assume normal, education-oriented use by teachers / instructors and pupils / students.

3. What counts as normal use

Fair use includes, among other things:

• use within educational activities (lessons, assignments, feedback, preparation)
• guiding learning processes by teachers / instructors
• reflection, explanation and support for pupils / students
• use within configured AI companions and workflows

4. What falls outside fair use

The following use falls outside fair use:

• mass or automated use (e.g. scripts, bots, bulk requests)
• use as a general replacement for commercial AI services without pedagogical context
• extremely intensive individual use that burdens the environment
• use not related to educational purposes
• misuse of advanced features (such as large uploads or heavy analyses without necessity)

5. Managed capacity

Pupils / students use EduGPT within a managed capacity.

This means that:

• use is calibrated to the number of teachers / instructors and the configuration of the environment
• we actively monitor the platform for stability and load
• we can apply optimisations or restrictions where necessary

6. Monitoring and adjustment

To ensure quality:

• we monitor use at a high level (no content review of conversations)
• we detect deviating or extreme usage
• we reach out in cases of structurally deviating usage

In consultation we can:

• optimise usage
• adjust the configuration
• or offer additional capacity

7. Scaling and expansion

When usage structurally exceeds fair use, we offer:

• capacity expansion
• additional licences or features
• bespoke agreements for intensive use

This always takes place in consultation with the institution.
